Northbrook Principal's Notes
Welcome to Northbrookâs home page. On the main page, you will find links to various articles about the school and other resources pertinent to middle school students. Our hope is to provide as much information as possible about the school and ways to help students make a successful transition to high school.
Northbrook School is home to approximately 650 pre-school, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. Our staff consists of nearly fifty teachers and twenty-five paraprofessionals. Grades six through eight support a middle school philosophy, encompassing a core curriculum and exploratory classes to provide a well-rounded, student-centered environment for all. Several extra-curricular activities are offered. Research shows students who have the opportunity to participate in school activities have a higher self esteem, are happier and do better at school, and resist negative peer pressure. Please encourage your student to become involved.
We strive to make your time at Northbrook as rewarding as possible. To do this, we need to create a union of parents, students, teachers, administrators, and community members for the best interest of every child who walks through the doors.
