Do you purchase gas, dine out, buy groceries, maintain your vehicle, or do home improvement? Need a gift for someone special? Do you read books or purchase electronics? Then this program is for you!

Mendota District 289 is once again using the fundraising program known as Great Lakes Scrip. This is a program that requires no door-to-door sales by children or parents. Participation in the Scrip program costs our supporters nothing!

Scrip (Gift Card) program offers you an opportunity to purchase gift cards you can use at your favorite stores or give as a gift while helping to support school activities. A percentage of the gift card amount goes to the school.

We encourage you to plan ahead and purchase your gift cards even for your budgeted items.  For example, if you plan to go to Wal-mart every two weeks and spend $100.00 or you know you spend $50 a week in gas then purchase the card ahead of time, spend the same amount of money and the plus to this is that the school gets a small percentage of the profit.

Some examples of Scrip merchants are Wal-mart, Kohl's, JC Penney's, Land's End, Papa John's Pizza, Applebee's, and over 300 other merchants. The list of all participating merchants can be found on the internet at www.glscrip.com.

Scrip orders are processed every Tuesday morning at 10:00AM.

Parents can send their orders in with their child or drop them off at the school office. Orders received afterTuesday will be held for processing until the following week.  Scrip orders may be dropped off at any time during the week at any of the three schools.   Orders are filled on Friday. The only exception to orders not being processed is if there is only one purchase then the order will be held until the following week. Your gift cards will be sent home with your child unless you make other arrangements.  

PARENTS ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ORDERS LOST BY THEIR CHILDREN.
